Caedraw Primary School

The group of children and teachers that spent the past week in Sweden have returned.

Mrs Watkins, Mrs Murray and Miss Davies commented on how well the children behaved and how they joined in and made friends with the children from the five other countries.

On Monday three teachers and four year 6 pupils took the next step in our Comenius project. They flew to Sweden! They will spend five days with other children and teachers from the five other partner schools (Austria, Germany, Turkey, Sweden and Italy) and undertake a range of friendship and orienteering activities. We expect them back on friday evening, so look out for the pictures and news next week!

Caedraw will be busy today raising money for Comic Relief. Everybody has been asked to wear something red and there will be a talent show this afternoon. Mrs Jones and Miss Howells have really gotten into the spirit of things.

On Tuesday six year 6 pupils represented the school as the Caedraw Speed Brakers, at the Formula 1 Primary Challenge at the Waterfront Museum in Swansea. The pupils had to design and make a car to race out of balsa wood, then present their project to a panel of judges.

Unfortunately, the pupils did not win, however, they won all of their races, earned a second place for their verbal presentation and had a great day. They were a credit to themselves and the school and Miss Stokes and Miss Shellard would like to say a big Well Done to the team.
